The Healing Center

I found our tour and all of the information provided about the work that the Healing Center does for Latinos in this area to be very enlightening. It is an outstanding facility that provides tremendous support and resources for all people in need in this area without prying too much into their lives. It was very motivating for me as I now want to go back to the area I live (NE Ohio) to find where I can volunteer my time to assist with efforts designed to help the Latino community, connect with people, and practice my Spanish in meaningful ways. I found it surprising how many ways the center receives donations and disburses them in a fair way that meets the needs of those who need it most. It really opened my eyes to all the ways that the local Latino community needs support from filling out school documents to getting a bicycle so that they have a means of transportation.
