Immigration speaker
Because I knew very little about this topic, this was very good. Even though this was a very complicated topic, I feel Sherry Neal did a good job to explain the ways one can obtain citizenship or a Green card. The specifics of obtaining working visas, green cards, or other documents to allow an immigrant to stay legally is way too much for the average citizen to understand. I would guess that most citizens are unaware of how difficult it is to obtain legal documents. This is a very 'political topic and I am definitely more enlightened because of this topic.

I agree with your statement that most Americans don't understand how difficult it is to do things legally. I wonder if public opinion on amnesty-type programs would change if more people understood the complexities - or at least people would feel more compassion towards the individuals who have chosen to enter or stay outside of the legal system.
