Mainstreet Schoolhouse

What an amazing place. I am so impressed with how much this woman has done and continues to do with very little in the way of money or materials. Teaching, running a school, designing curriculum and writing workbooks. You can tell that it is a labor of love. That comes out when she speaks about the school. Her employees also get emotional over her work. That they would focus on high school diploma rather then GED is taking the hard road but so much better for her students. I could not be more impressed.

  1. I'm also impressed that her clientele have made the conscious decision to pursue a high school diploma rather than a GED. It's always refreshing to encounter students who are willing to go the extra mile and have the motivation to see it through.

  2. I agree. The Mainstreet Schoolhouse is a wonderful place where immigrants and drop-outs can come and get help in getting a high school diploma versus a GED. This is a place that I will send students who may be in danger of not graduating from our school.

  3. I am equally impressed with her love for education of the unprevilleged population. I agree to the idea of helping students get a diploma instead of a GED. Her work shows a lot of passion and dedication even with the limited funds, I wish this idea could be expanded.
