Speaker: Jacqueline Rioja Verlarde

Ms. Velarde was a good speaker.  She was interesting to listen to, and she provided information that was enlightening.  The listing of facts that Latina women are an emerging force in the business sector was suprising.  It's encouraging to see minorities given opportunities to advance and be successful.  I believe many see the increase in the Latina population, but it's not well-known that several are making an impact on the local and national economy.  Jacqueline gave insight to the importance of someone understanding the Latina culture and realizing their role in the american society.
