Immigration- Sherry Neal

It is no wonder that so many people are undocumented in this country. Listening to Sherry Neal speak, I was amazed that she could understand all of the laws and nuances. This is an extremely hot topic and is perhaps one of the most confusing I have heard. Between, F1's, H1B's, H4;s and I-94's, I thought I was following an extremely confusing road map. It was eye-opening to hear that there are really only four legal  paths to entering this country. (Asylum, Family sponsorship, work sponsorship and the diversity lottery system.) The media and politicians make it appear that anyone can enter the country and there should not be anyone here illegally. After listening to this lecture, I am surprised that anyone is able to navigate the system. It was also fascinating to hear that the system is still back logged from the Clinton approved Section 245-I in 2000. I do wonder if the current law being written and debated will actually help to clear up the situation or merely confuse everyone even more.
