Sherry Neal-guest speaker

Sherry Neal was a very informative Immigration attorney who shared different policies and options for people migrating or trying to work in the United States. First, I am amazed of the tedious process that one must go through to immigrate or even get a green card to work in our country. Also, I was surprised that there is a back log of several years for immigrants to actually get a green card. I guess through the media and other sources, I have always believed that it was not as difficult as it really is. Her presentation really enlightened me on the policies, as well as, some of the proposed transformations that are in Congress at this time. Her analogy of comparing immigration to an amusement park really put things into perspective for me. My hope is that our new policies will address some of the issues and provide for a consistency in our country to make this a better organized process.
